Plastic Free Lunch Day
February 14th will be Plastic Free Lunch Day at Muraco! This nationally recognized day encourages schools to reduce single-use plastic and envision a more sustainable future.
What does this mean for your child? School lunches will be prepared without single-use plastic on this day. Families who pack lunches are encouraged to participate by preparing a zero-waste lunch for their children.
How can you help?
Here are a few tips to pack a plastic-free lunch: Use reusable containers instead of plastic bags. Pack whole fruits instead of pre-packaged snacks. Use a reusable water bottle or thermos.
Let’s work together to make this day a success and demonstrate how small changes can lead to big impacts! Thank you for your support in fostering a more sustainable school environment!
