Muraco Elementary School Parents Association provides many opportunities to be involved in the Muraco community.

No amount of help is too small!

  • Committees & Volunteer Opportunities

We have many committees where you can lend a hand. You can help in a big way or a small way. However much time you have to give is welcomed and appreciated. Click below to read about one of our committees!

  • Morning Carline Volunteer

Sign up for a WEEKLONG shift (5 days, Mon-Fri) supporting the Muraco carline. Can't commit to a whole week? Find a fellow Muraco parent (or a few), split the week and sign up together! (Please do not sign up if you can only do a single day.)

Responsibilities include: Waving cars up to the front of the carline, opening car doors, assisting children exiting the vehicles, and reminding students to go around back if it is before 8:07 am.

  • Fill out your CORI form

In order to ensure the safety of all students, Muraco abides by MA General Law 71,38R which requires that all schools conduct criminal background checks on teachers and volunteers. They are required to complete and sign a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) Request Form. Muraco personnel will additionally verify identity by photocopying a government issued form of identification.

  • Become a room parent

Room Parents work with teachers and parents throughout the year to coordinate class parties, extracurricular activities, and organize teacher gifts. Ideally each classroom teacher will have 2-3 room parents.
